Power hour breakout
This report checks if a new high or low of the day (HOD or LOD) is made after a specified time, with the default time set from 3PM to 4PM. it compares the high and low of the session, against the high and low made during the selected time period to determine if a new HOD or LOD is achieved.
Now lets see some examples of how to use this report in our trading. Just as an example, we will look at the NY session 9:30am - 4pm If there is a high chance of a new HOD or LOD during power hour, then possibly make it a profit target.

If there is a high change of NO HOD or LOD during power hour, then look for SHORTS at the high of day area and LONGS at the low of day area during power hour.

Why new high and low of day matters: late-day breakouts: if a high percentage of new highs or lows occur after the selected time, focus on trading during these periods. Plan to enter trades in the direction of the breakout, setting your stop-losses and profit targets accordingly to capture strong price movements in the late afternoon. HOD / LOD respected: If there is a high chance these zones are respected during power hour, then looking for entries in these zones would be ideal. it also provides a clear Stop loss. For intraday traders, this report highlights critical late-day trading opportunities. It also provides clear areas for setting stop-losses and profit targets based on the likelihood of new highs or lows being made.
