Gap fill : customization

Check out one of our founders explaining this report in the video below:

The standard gap fill report is the simplest of the five types. It takes all the data you pick and just looks at four metrics : gap up , gap down, gap filled, gap not filled.

You can filter the data by selecting how much of the gap has to be filled in order to count as “filled” on the graph.

The screenshot below is an example of the 50% Gap fill percentage being picked. This means that gap fills that reach 50% count as “ filled “. If it doesn't reach at least 50% then it counts as “ not filled “.

Now lets see how this looks on an actual chart:

In the example above, the gap was filled more than 50% so it counts as “filled”

Lets check out another example:

In the example above we see a gap fill that didn’t reach 50% so its counted as “not filled”

HOW DO I USE THIS IN MY TRADING ?

Gaps can help you pick your direction bias on the session. If gaps down fill often, you want to have a bullish bias. If gaps up fill often, you want to have a bearish bias. It doesn't mean buy or sell at the open, it means find a good entry targeting the gap fill.
